Websites for renovation contractors · Milton & Halton

Your website should ring your phone. Most of them can't even be tapped.

I build websites for renovation and remodelling contractors. I only work with one trade, so I already know what yours needs. Every site gets a tap-to-call bar, a quote form on the page you're already on, and a page for every finished job with the real numbers on it.

If you’ve had my video, this is the next step

Send me your best finished job. A few photos, and five minutes on the phone. I’ll build one real page of your actual website this week, free, on a private link. Open it on your phone next to what you’ve got now. If it isn’t obviously better, we stop there and it cost you nothing.

I only take one renovation contractor per town. In Milton that’s still open.

Start here. Costs nothing.

I'll measure your site and send you the numbers

Not a sales call. I open your site on a real phone, measure what it actually does, and send you a short video and a written list. You keep it whether we ever speak again or not. And if the answer is "your website isn't your problem," I'll tell you that.

01

You send me your address

Just the web address. No form-filling, no discovery call, no "let's book a strategy session."

02

I spend an hour on it

Load time, page weight, whether your phone number is tappable, what Google thinks your town is, where your reviews are hiding, and who's outranking you.

03

You get it in writing

A short video and a plain list of what I found. Hand it to whoever manages your site. Most of it is a day's work for anyone competent.

The work

Three demonstration sites

None of these are real clients, and I'd rather say so than have you work it out. They're complete, working sites I built to show exactly what a contractor's site should do. Open them on your phone and time them yourself. What I'd actually rather do is build you one real page of your own site, free, before you pay me anything.

They're also deliberately hidden from Google. Putting three invented Milton companies into search results is exactly what I'm accusing the fake-local sites of doing, and I'm not doing it to win an argument.

Prices, published

I tell contractors to publish their prices. So here are mine.

You've been asked ‘roughly what does a kitchen run?’ a thousand times, and you've got a range you give on the phone before you'll drive out. This is mine. You should know what this costs before you ring me. Canadian dollars, and the middle one is the one I'd put you in.

Work Truck

$1,900One page, two weeks

Stops you losing the calls you already earn.

  • Everything on one page, so nobody has to hunt for anything
  • A tap to call bar that follows people down the page
  • A quote form right there, not one click away
  • Enquiries land in your inbox and as a text, so you see them on site
  • One job page, so you can see how the format works
  • Your reviews, your WSIB number and your licences, up where people look
  • Under 1.5 seconds on launch day, measured on Google’s own tool. If it misses, I keep working for free until it doesn’t.

Full Job

The one I’d build for you

$3,900Nine pages, four weeks

Earns you calls you are not getting today.

  • Everything in Work Truck
  • Five job pages. A page for each finished job, not a gallery. The neighbourhood, the size, how long it took, what it cost, and what turned up behind the wall.
  • I interview you for 45 minutes a job and write it myself. You write nothing.
  • Published price bands, so your Saturdays stop going to people who were never going to book
  • Two neighbourhood pages with real jobs in them. Never one page with the town swapped out.
  • Your Google listing claimed, verified and filled in properly

Showroom

$6,900Fourteen pages, seven weeks

Sells the job before you pick up the phone.

  • Everything in Full Job
  • Ten job pages, so whatever somebody searches for, you have one
  • Four neighbourhood pages
  • A form that asks about scope and budget before it reaches your phone, so you stop driving out to $9,000 kitchen refreshes
  • A page on how you work and a page on your warranty. Those two close the nervous ones.

Afterwards, if you want it

$95 a month covers hosting, backups, security updates and fifteen minutes of changes. $195 a month adds two new job pages a year, which is the part that keeps you turning up in search.

Optional, month to month, cancel whenever. If you would rather look after it yourself I will hand you the logins and a two page sheet and you are free. Budget $25 to $40 a month for decent hosting, and test your own contact form on the first of every month.

You do not pay until you like it

I show you the homepage design in week one. Nothing is due until you have seen it and said yes. If it is not right, you tell me and we stop there. No invoice, nothing owed.

You own your domain, your hosting and your files from day one. There is no version of this where I have something you need.

Straight answers

The things you'd have to ask me

How many contractors have you done this for?

None yet in this trade. You’d be my first, and I’d rather tell you that than have you work it out.

What makes that safe for you is not a promise. It is how the money works. You see the design before you owe anything. You never have more than 35% at risk. You own the domain and the files from day one. And the first few jobs go out below the price above, in exchange for a testimonial I can put on this page, and permission to use your name.

Are those three sites real clients?

No, and they say so on the page. They are demonstrations. Complete working sites, not pictures of designs, built to show what I'd build for you.

If you want something more useful than a demonstration: send me your best finished job and I'll build one real page of your own site this week, free, on a link only you can see. Look at it on your phone. If it isn't obviously better than what you have now, we're done and it cost you nothing.

Is it just you?

Yes. No account manager, no junior doing the actual work, no agency markup. You deal with me from the first call to the last fix, and I answer my own phone.

It's me doing the work, so I can run two builds at once. Right now I'm running none, which is why I can start next week.

What I don't do

Turning down work I'd be mediocre at is cheaper for both of us.

  • Any trade other than renovation contractors. One trade, done repeatedly, is why I'm quick
  • Two competing contractors in the same town for the same work
  • Online stores, booking systems, social calendars, video production
  • SEO-only contracts. Renting rankings on a broken site is money into a hole
  • Lead generation deals where I sell you leads. That is exactly what the fake local sites in Milton search results do, and I am not joining them.
  • A website, when the website isn't your problem. If you're booked nine months out and your calls are closing, keep your money. I'll say so on the first call

Get in touch

Send me your web address

That's genuinely all I need to start. I'll measure it and send you what I find, whether or not anything comes of it.

  • I reply the same day, or by 9am the next morning
  • If your website isn't your problem, I'll tell you
  • Would you rather talk? Call 647 710 7449. I answer it myself.

Thanks, I’ve got it. I’ll have something back to you within a day.
Something went wrong sending that. My fault, not yours. Ring me on 647 710 7449 or email drabya@thejobbook.ca and I’ll pick it up straight away.

No obligation, no mailing list, and your details go nowhere else.
